As Jesus is today, so are you.

You are accepted, justified and called.

Living From Your True Identity in Christ

Understanding Your Identity in God’s Love

“Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.” — 1 John 4:17

One of the most liberating truths in the entire Bible is this: God does not measure you by your performance. He measures you by Jesus. When God looks at you, He sees you wrapped in the perfection, righteousness, and victory of His Son. That is why Scripture boldly declares, “As He is, so are we in this world.”

This is not a future promise. It is a present‑tense reality for every believer.

No Fear in the Day of Judgment

As new covenant believers, we do not tremble at the thought of judgment. Why? Because every sin, every failure, every shortcoming has already been judged at the cross. Jesus took it all. Nothing remains on your account.

If judgment has already fallen on Jesus, it cannot fall on you again.

This is why you can stand with boldness, confidence, and peace - not because you are flawless, but because you are in Christ, and as He is, so are you.

Not “As Jesus Was” … but “As Jesus Is”

Notice the verse does not say, “As Jesus was on earth, so are we.” If it did, that alone would be incredible. When Jesus walked the earth, healing flowed, provision followed, and miracles were normal.

But the Word goes further.

It says: “As Jesus is…” Meaning: as He is right now - glorified, victorious, enthroned - so are you in this world.

This is not poetic language. It is spiritual reality.

Where Jesus Is Today - And What That Means for You

The Bible paints a clear picture of Jesus’ current position:

God “raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand… far above all principality and power and might and dominion… And He put all things under His feet.” — Ephesians 1:20–23

Jesus is seated at the Father’s right hand — the place of authority, triumph, and absolute dominion.

And here is the breathtaking truth: You are seated with Him. You share His position. You share His victory. You share His authority.

As Jesus is far above every principality, so are you. As Jesus is far above sickness, so are you. As Jesus is far above fear, depression, addiction, and oppression, so are you.

This is your identity. This is your inheritance. This is your reality in Christ.

Reigning in Life Through Your Identity

When you begin to see yourself as God sees you, everything changes. You stop fighting for victory and start living from victory. You stop begging God for what He has already given. You stop seeing yourself as weak, unworthy, or defeated.

Instead, you rise into the truth:

  • You are loved.

  • You are righteous.

  • You are accepted.

  • You are empowered.

  • You are seated with Christ.

And from that place, you begin to reign over every negative situation — not by striving, but by resting in who Jesus is.

A Final Word of Encouragement

Beloved, meditate on this truth until it becomes part of your heartbeat: As Jesus is, so are you in this world.

Not someday. Not when you “get it all together.” Not when you feel holy enough.

Right now.

Walk in that identity. Speak from that identity. Pray from that identity. Your life will shift, your confidence will rise, and your faith will flourish - because you are living from the finished work of Christ.

Your best days are not behind you. They are unfolding right now, in the light of who Jesus is.

Be Safe and God Bless.
