GOD Judges Us For What We Are - Not What We Were - Day 1: The Mirror vs The Master.

Grace and Identity

A Journey of Grace and Identity.

In a world obsessed with appearances, achievements, and past mistakes, it’s easy to feel trapped by the reflection staring back at us. The mirror shows us what we were—our scars, our failures, our regrets. But the Master, our Creator, sees something far deeper: who we are becoming.

๐Ÿชž The Mirror: A Harsh Reminder

Mirrors don’t lie, but they don’t tell the whole truth either. They reflect the surface, not the soul. Many of us live haunted by our past choices we wish we hadn’t made, paths we wish we hadn’t taken. Society often reinforces this, labelling people by their worst moments. But is that who we truly are?

The mirror says: “You are your past.” But God says: “You are my child.”

✝️ The Master: A Loving Judge

God doesn’t judge us by yesterday’s failures. He judges us by today’s faith, today’s heart, today’s surrender. Scripture reminds us that “man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart” (1 Samuel 16:7). That means our transformation matters more than our history.

The Master sees potential where others see problems. He sees purpose where others see pain. He sees purity where others see a past.

๐Ÿ”„ Redemption Over Reputation

One of the most powerful truths in Christianity is redemption. The story of Paul, once a persecutor of Christians, becoming one of the greatest apostles, is proof that God’s judgment is based on who we are in Him—not who we were without Him.

Your past may explain you, but it doesn’t define you. Your mistakes may shape you, but they don’t own you.

๐ŸŒฑ Today’s Reflection

Ask yourself: Am I living by the mirror’s judgment or the Master’s grace? Do I define myself by my past or by God’s promise?

Let today be the beginning of a new lens—a divine lens. Because when God looks at you, He doesn’t see your failures. He sees your faith.
