Refined by Fire — Day 2: Purified in the Fire
Theme: Growing through trials and becoming stronger in faith.
Scripture: 1 Peter 1:6–7 — “In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith - of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire - may result in praise, glory and honour when Jesus Christ is revealed.”
🌱 Focus: God’s refining process.
Faith is not forged in comfort - it is refined in fire. The Apostle Peter reminds us that trials are not meaningless; they are purposeful. Just as gold is purified through intense heat, our faith is strengthened and made genuine through life’s challenges.
God’s refining process is not about punishment - it’s about preparation. He uses seasons of difficulty to strip away what’s temporary and reveal what’s eternal. The fire may feel overwhelming, but it’s producing something far more valuable than relief: it’s producing character, endurance, and a faith that shines.
We often pray for escape, but God invites us to embrace transformation. The goal is not just to survive the fire, but to emerge purified - more radiant, more resilient, and more rooted in Him.
