🛡️ Get Ready to Play Offense

In sports, defense is essential. A strong defensive strategy keeps you in the game, but defense alone doesn’t win championships.

Psalm 91 is often called the prayer of protection, and it highlights powerful defensive elements: dwelling in the secret place of the Most High, abiding under His shadow, and trusting Him as our refuge and fortress. We are covered under His wings and guarded by angelic armies.

But once the defense is secure, it’s time to play offense.

⚔️ Offensive Authority in Christ

Psalm 91:13 declares: “You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.” That’s not defense — that’s attack. That’s authority.

Jesus sent out seventy disciples “as lambs among wolves” (Luke 10:3). Naturally speaking, lambs don’t overpower wolves. But the authority He gave them was supernatural. Just as Samson tore apart a lion with strength from God, believers today walk in divine authority that far exceeds natural ability.

It’s not about how strong you look or feel. It’s about who lives in you. And He who is in you is greater than any predator, any darkness, any opposition in the world.

🌟 Strength in Weakness

God delights in using the weak things of the world to confound the mighty (1 Corinthians 1:27). Victory doesn’t depend on human strength or speed. The race is not always to the swift, nor the battle to the strong. It is the Lord who determines the outcome.

And since the Lord is for you, who can be against you (Romans 8:31)?

My friend, you are stronger than you think. Not because of your own power, but because of Christ in you.

🙏 Prayer for Today

Father, thank You that greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world. Teach me to rest in Your protection and to rise in Your authority. Help me not only to stand firm in defence but also to move forward in faith, treading upon every challenge and opposition. Fill me with courage, confidence, and the assurance that victory belongs to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
